Voyageurs National Park Announces Winter Visitor Center Hours and Activities
Voyageurs National Park is pleased to announce the winter schedule for its visitor centers, equipment rentals, and special events.
Rainy Lake Visitor Center:
Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting Jan. 10, 2025, through the end of March.
Hours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Special holiday hours: Open Saturday, Dec. 14, and Saturday, Dec. 21, for holiday shopping at the park gift store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center:
Open Saturdays and Sundays starting Jan. 11, 2025, through the end of March.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Winter Equipment Rentals:
Beginning Jan. 1, cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals will be available online through the Voyageurs National Park Winter Equipment Rentals webpage.
Rates: $10 per pair for adults and $5 per pair for children (16 and under).
Equipment pickup is available during visitor center operating hours.

Candlelight Snowshoe Hike: Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5 p.m. as part of Ice Box Days from Rainy Lake Visitor Center
Skiing with the Polar Polers: Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. at Black Bay Trailhead
Regardless of visitor center hours, access to the park remains open year-round. Park staff invite visitors to explore the breathtaking beauty of Voyageurs National Park in winter. Venture outdoors to experience the snowy splendor of the northern landscape.
