Voyageurs National Park visitor centers begin fall / winter operations soon. The Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center will be closed for the season beginning Tuesday, September 21, 2021. The Ash River Visitor Center will be closed for the season beginning Saturday, September 18, 2021. Both visitor centers will reopen in mid-May 2022.
The Rainy Lake Visitor Center will be open seven days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm through Sunday, September 26.
The Rainy Lake Visitor Center will have the following late fall and winter hours:
September 27 through September 30, 2021: Closed
October 1 through October 24, 2021: open Friday through Sundays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
October 25, 2021 through December 2, 2021: Closed
Dec 3, 2021 through December 31, 2021: Open Friday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
January 2, 2022 through mid-May 2022: Open Friday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
With maples and birches ablaze, we encourage you to come and explore the park’s hiking trails this fall. The park is open regardless of visitor center hours; come and enjoy the north woods!
