Voyageurs National Park Presents The Ghosts of Voyageurs

For the third straight year, join Voyageurs National Park staff for an evening lantern-lit journey across the grounds of the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. Voyageur country has been home to many different people, each with their own celebrations and struggles. Led by I.W. Stevens, characters representing these celebrations and struggles--gold miners, lumberjacks, steamboat captains, and more--will regale us with their stories. Programs will be presented from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday, September 10, 2015
  • Friday, September 11, 2015
  • Thursday, September 17, 2015
  • Friday, September 18, 2015

The program is free, but reservations are required. Participants should meet inside the Rainy Lake Visitor Center at 7:00 pm for check-in and preparation. In case of inclement weather, programs will be held inside. The ground is rocky and uneven in places; good footwear is recommended. Dress for the weather, and do not bring headlamps or flashlights. Reservations will be taken starting Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Call the Rainy Lake Visitor Center at (218) 286-5258 for more information or to make your reservations.
