Is there a cost to me?

When you are accepted into the program you are given a full scholarship for both of the trips.

How long does the program last?

You’ll spend 5 days camping in Voyageurs National Park and 3 days camping on the Mississippi River.

Do I have to go on both trips?

Yes you do! We’ve developed curriculum to be continuous, not overlapping, so attending both trips is absolutely essential to getting as much out of the program as possible!

Is transportation provided?

For Twin Cities students, transportation is provided for both of the trips. We’ll work with students and their families from other areas of the state to coordinate transportation.

What do I need to bring?

When you are accepted into the program a packing list will be sent to you, but Here it is in case you’re worried about it.

What do we do on the trips?

Lots of things! You’ll hike, camp, paddle, do service projects, talk to National Park Rangers, participate in team-building exercises, do journaling activities, cook over the campfire, make new friends, and learn a lot!

Is any experience required?

We accept participants of all skill levels! We’ll teach you everything you need to know to have a great time.

Do we sleep outside?

You’ll sleep in a 4-person tent, separated by gender.

Are there mosquitoes?

Is water wet?

Will I get wet?

Probably. We suggest you bring clothing that dries quickly (not cotton) for this reason.
