Each September, Voyageurs National Park Association and the National Park Service host the Volunteer Rendezvous, a two-day volunteer blitz in Voyageurs National Park. This year, volunteers will help with wetland restoration near the park’s Rainy Lake Visitor Center.
People of all ages and skills are welcome to attend one or both of the volunteer days – no experience is necessary. National Park Service staff will provide you with the tools and training required to make a positive impact on the park.
Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16
9 am – 3pm at Voyageurs National Park’s Rainy Lake Visitor Center
Online registration is currently closed at this time while we determine if we can accommodate more volunteers. Please call us at 612-333-5424 if you are interested in participating in this event.
What can you expect as a volunteer?
The project may involve boating, canoeing, and wading – you will likely get wet. We’ll provide additional information on what to bring and wear to registered volunteers.
The Volunteer Rendezvous isn’t all work and no play! We are planning fun group activities, including an appreciation dinner on Saturday. More details to come.
